Dr. Huckstable's diagnosis spot on

Bill Cosby and NPR's Juan Williams are taking on Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson as to the reasons many black communities are struggling. It remains to be seen if the people with the power to change things are listening, and/or have the courage to stand up and fight the enablers.

  1. I read this article (in print form, HA!) and wasn't really sure it said much new actually. I can't point to it anyway. My favorite related voice is John McWhorter (also of the Manhattan Institute). I actually watched part of a Teaching Company video series he did: The Story of Human Language. I loved his explication of language vs communication. Not quite as nuanced as Scruton, but still good.

  2. No, I just like to see a prominent and influential black person step up.
